Sanjay Tandon Emphasizes Economic Progress under Modi Government; Says Modi always 'Prioritized the Poor"

Chandigarh, 18th April 2024: In a massive show of support, a huge crowd gathered at Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, to rally behind BJP's Chandigarh Lok Sabha candidate, Sanjay Tandon. The air was charged with enthusiasm and chants of 'Hamara Sanjay Tandon'.
Sanjay Tandon stated, "The nation has made its decision clear—BJP is poised to lead the centre once more. It's evident that for a Union Territory like Chandigarh, aligning with the central government's party is a strategic choice for the welfare of its citizens."

Tandon took the opportunity to highlight the economic transformations achieved during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure, emphasizing that the Modi government has always prioritized the poor and worked towards their financial empowerment.

"The Congress's decade was full of numerous scams—telecom, Commonwealth, helicopter, railway, and many others. Contrast that with the BJP's ten-year tenure, which stands untainted by corruption. Not a single allegation could be cast against Modi or any minister in his government," Tandon remarked.

He praised PM Modi's leadership style, citing initiatives like the Jan Dhan Yojana, which revolutionized the banking system by ensuring zero balance account openings, and direct benefit transfers that eliminated middlemen, bolstering the country's economy.

"During the Congress era, even obtaining an LPG cylinder was a struggle. Now, a simple missed call ensures delivery within 24 hours. The Ayushman Bharat scheme has been a lifesaver for the poor during health emergencies," Tandon added.

He also highlighted Modi's commitment to dignity and health of the poor, with the construction of 10 crore toilets and the provision of free gas stoves and cylinders to 12,000 women in Chandigarh under the Ujwala Yojna.

Tandon spoke of India's growing international stature, citing the successful evacuation of Indian youth from Ukraine and the strategic handling of relations with Pakistan and China. He talked about  the implementation of the CAA, which has granted citizenship rights to persecuted minorities from neighboring countries.

The event saw robust support from the Ram Darbar's Mahila Mandal and local leaders like Ram Lal, Bijendra Sood, Ravinder Malik, Bharat, Leeladhar Swami, Pradeep Sharma, Sandeep Mahajan, Iftikhar Khan, Mukesh Mehra, Manju Dubey, and others. They showed full support to Tandon, acknowledging his commitment to addressing the issues of the Ram Darbar community and treating it like his own home.

Later in the day, Tandon also visited village Badheri where several noted people joined BJP: Sartaaj Singh, Jagjit Singh of Palsora, Jarnail Singh, Bikramjit Singh Rana Palsora, Sanjay Singh Palsora and Gurshahdeep Singh

Present on the occasion were Harmeet Singh Veera Ji (International Kabaddi Coach), Davinder Singh Babla (State Vice President BJP), Jujhar Singh Badheri (Ex-Chairman Market Committee Chandigarh), Ravinder Rawat (District President) and Vaibhav Prashar.

Jujhar Singh Badheri said: - We'll organise lavish programs in all 22 villages of Chandigarh.
