Mohali: Amity University-Punjab, in collaboration with Agahi Events, achieved a significant milestone by hosting the Model United Nations (MUN). The event, held at Amity University's campus in Mohali, brought together young representatives from across the northern region of India to tackle some of the most pressing global challenges of our time.
The MUN provided a platform for delegates to engage in meaningful discourse on a wide range of issues, from climate change and conflict resolution to poverty alleviation and public health. The event aimed to foster critical thinking, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills among the participants, empowering them to become future leaders and change-makers.
The opening ceremony, organized with great enthusiasm by the Team and Secretariat, set the tone for the event. Spectacular dance performances filled the audience with high spirits, creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation for the discussions ahead.
Mr. Sahil Kapoor, Director of Business Development and Marketing at Amity University Punjab, had the honor of facilitating the Chief Guest of the event, Mr. Raj Malhotra. His presence added prestige to the occasion and inspired the delegates to strive for excellence in their deliberations.
As the MUN progressed into its second day, delegates immersed themselves in debates and negotiations with renewed vigor and determination. The conference concluded on a high note with a grand closing ceremony, presided over by Ms. Kavita Das, the esteemed former principal of St. John's High School, Chandigarh. The ceremony was facilitated by Mr. Sunil Kumar, Senior Manager of Marketing and Outreach at Amity University Punjab, who played a key role in ensuring the success of the event.
