I Day: Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation Holds 'Bhandara'

Panchkula, August 15, 2023: On  Independence Day - Non-Governmental Organisation, Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation organised its 72nd 'Bhandara' or Community Kitchen, here . A large number of working class people and needy families from the surrounding areas had food at the 'Bhandara'.
On the occasion, Amitabh Rungta, founder of Shyam Karuna Foundation said,  "I appeal to all those who can spare time and money to take a pledge this I Day - they should make a commitment   to put up 'Community Kitchens' for the needy citizens of India.  I urge fellow Indians who have the wherewithal,  to make India free from hunger." 

Rungta said that 'Annadan' is considered the highest noble deed. He added that at the Bhandaras of Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation  free food is provided  to all those who want to have a wholesome square meal. 

Anupama Rungta, Chaitanya Rungta, Pragati Rungta, Deepali Rungta, Sukhpal Singh, Suresh Jangra all volunteered and helped in arranging the food distribution at 'Bhandara'.
