Government Must Soon Initiate Regularisation of 10,757 Guest Teachers: Krishan Dharashul

Chandigarh, October 24, 2026:** The Guest Teachers Joint Struggle Front, Haryana Pradesh, has urged the Haryana Government to initiate the process of regularising 10,757 guest teachers who have been serving in the state’s education department for the past 21 years, under the three-year policy formulated in 2014, in accordance with the spirit of the Hon’ble Court’s order.

State President *Krishan Dharashul* said that guest teachers have been making a significant contribution to Haryana’s government schools for the past 21 years, discharging their responsibilities with dedication, hard work and commitment. Despite challenging circumstances, they have continued to educate students and support the smooth functioning of the state’s education system. However, the issue of their regularisation remains pending, creating uncertainty about the future of the teachers and their families.

State President Krishan Dharashul said, “Guest teachers have been an integral part of Haryana’s education system for the past 21 years. They have consistently prioritised the future of students and fulfilled their responsibilities with dedication. It is now the government’s responsibility to recognise their long years of service and contribution by initiating the regularisation process at the earliest. We demand that concrete steps be taken to regularise guest teachers under the three-year policy formulated in 2014, in accordance with the Hon’ble Court’s order dated May 25, 2026. The government must take a clear decision without unnecessary delay so that 10,757 teachers and their families can be relieved of uncertainty about their future.”

He further said that guest teachers have been struggling for their rights for a long time. The government should issue the necessary directions to the concerned department and ensure that the regularisation process is completed in a transparent and time-bound manner, providing teachers with clarity regarding their service status.

Final Decision Awaited Despite Personal Hearings

The office-bearers of the Front said that although the departmental process of personal hearings in matters concerning guest teachers has been completed, a final decision on regularisation is still awaited. They urged the government to resolve the pending matters at the earliest and provide relief to the teachers.
