SJOBA TSD Rally 2026 concludes; Shabbir Hussain Saifee & Prakash Muthusamy clinch Pro 4-Wheeler title

Chandigarh, October 5, 2026: The SJOBA TSD Rally 2026, organised by the St. John’s Old Boys Association (SJOBA), concluded with the prize distribution ceremony held at the Chandigarh Golf Association, with Shabbir Hussain Saifee and Prakash Muthusamy emerging winners in the Pro 4-Wheeler category. The rally witnessed participation from 35 cars and 15 motorcycles, with competitors from across India taking on challenging tracks across Punjab.

TSD stands for Time-Speed-Distance, a format in which competitors are required to maintain prescribed speeds and reach designated points at calculated times. Unlike a conventional speed race, success depends on precision, navigation, consistency and the ability to maintain the required average speed over the route.

The winners were presented cash prizes and trophies, while all other participants were honoured with certificates. Nikhil Deep Singh Jaspal, President, SJOBA; Danish Singh Mangat, Secretary and Competitor Relations Officer, and other officials were present at the prize distribution ceremony.

SJOBA President Nikhil Deep Singh Jaspal said,”This year’s rally introduced a new Bikers Class and featured a first-ever Night Stage, along with challenging new tracks that tested competitors across varied terrain and changing road conditions. The rally traversed parts of Mohali, SBS Nagar, Rupnagar, Hoshiarpur and Garhshankar.”

In the Pro 4-Wheeler category, Shabbir Hussain Saifee and Prakash Muthusamy claimed the top spot. Rajesh Saini and Rudrangsho Dey finished 2nd, while Chandramouli M and Shiv Sakthivel secured third place.

In the Amateur category, Jeewan Singh Dadwal and Nidaan Singh Dadwal emerged winners, followed by Sandeep Banerjee and Kanchana Banerjee in second place and Arzoo Arpit Mann and Geetika Manucha in third.

In the Ladies category, Vanishree Pathak and Rajni Chandra secured first place, with Anjani Arora and Nilofer Ibrahim finishing second and Kshamta Yadav and Anmol Anmol taking third place.

In the Couple category, Sk Ajgar Ali and Sekh Rahana Ali emerged winners, followed by Shailendra Singh and Sushmita Chauhan in second place and Pallavi Yadav and Sankar Anand S in third.

The Novice category saw Ayushmaan Malik and Tanishq Garg take the top spot, followed by Yashpal Saran and Shubham Madan in second and Sunny Jain and Vaibhav Mehta in third.

In the Bike category, Mahesh Iyer and Lohith JM emerged winners, while Chirag Thakur finished second and Rajan Sidhu third.

In the Bike Novice category, Daljit Singh was declared the winner, followed by Yogesh Lakhani in second place and Srikanth Umapathy and Raghuraman Raghu in third.

The rally was organised under the aegis of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI). Hero was the title sponsor, Bridgestone the  sponsor, Punjab Tourism the co-sponsor and Vamcy Merla the additional sponsor. Kandhari Beverages, Fortis, Doaba Group of Colleges, Tynor and Paul Merchants were among the other partners.

The event was conducted under the supervision of SJOBA President Nikhil Deep Singh Jaspal, with SPS Ghai as Clerk of the Course (COC), Dr Rahul Dutta as Additional COC, Nagendra Singh as Deputy Clerk of the Course (DCOC), and Nipun Mehan as Club Steward.
