Hoshiarpur, August 12: A rare case of IVF was performed successfully at Ivy Hospital, Hoshiarpur recently.
Giving information, Dr. Amandeep Mann, Gynecologist said that a young couple married for five years was facing the challenge of infertility.
Failing to have a baby, the depressed couple visited multiple hospitals but of no avail. Finally they arrived at Ivy Hospital where after a comprehensive evaluation the cause of infertility was identified as bilateral tubal blockage.
With a holistic and compassionate approach, Dr. Mann provided thorough counseling to the couple, explaining the intricacies of their condition and instilling confidence that conception was indeed possible.
The recommended treatment plan included a minimally invasive procedure called hydrotubation which is a tube-opening technique performed without any incisions. The procedure was successfully conducted on the 7th day of the menstrual cycle.
In the subsequent cycle, the female partner underwent ovulation induction drugs from the second day of her menses. The stars aligned as the cycle proved to be ovulatory, resulting in the long-awaited conception, said Dr Mann.
