Chandigarh, May 6, 2024: An investiture ceremony of student’s council for the academic session 2024-25 was held amid fanfare at IS Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector 21C, Chandigarh.
The students were explained the meaning and importance of the investiture ceremony and members of the newly elected council were introduced to them.
Manmeet Kumar was appointed Head Boy ; Gunhpreet Kaur was named Head Girl ; Armaan was declared Vice Head Boy; Maahi Tiwari was made Vice Head Girl ; Rishabh was appointed Junior Head Boy; Akshara was made Junior Head Girl ; Aryan Khatri was declared Junior Vice Head Boy; and Harshita was made the Junior Vice Head Girl. Four house captains, four junior house captains, 15 council members from Classes VIII to XII were also introduced.
The elected students were presented badges and sashes by School Manager Dr Jaspal Kaur and Officiating Principal Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat. After explaining the role and responsibilities to the elected students, Dr Jaspal Kaur appreciated the democratic and social skills of all the elected members.
Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat, who conducted the ceremony, advised the students to balance the new responsibility well with academics. Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat said that the investiture ceremony was a grand success which was held in an ambience of fervour and enthusiasm.
