150th monthly bhandara held at Maat-Pita temple

Chandigarh: The 150th monthly bhandara was organized at world's first Maat-Pita temple at Maat-Pita Gaudham Mahatirtha at Khallaur village in Mohali district on Sunday.
Hundreds of cow devotees from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi took part in it. During the occasion, specially invited children from 'SOS' orphanage of Rajpura were also honoured.
On this special occasion, famous bhajan singer Sushma Sharma enthralled the devotees with the bhajans of Kanhiya.
The construction work of this world's first Maat-Pita temple, where instead of having any God idol, people will realize the existence of God in their respective parents, is going at ful swing.
This time bhandara was organized by Meenakshi Gupta to commemorate the death anniversary of her husband late Satinder Pal Gupta.
Speaking on the occasion, Founder of Gaudham Gyan Chand Walia said that chanting the praises of our parents will bring peace in the world.
He further said that after deeply studying Sanatan's best thoughts on world peace, he found that we have destroyed our own root (seed). We were so influenced by the glamor of Western culture that we sowed a seed which had neither values, nor education and humility.
As a result, this fruit turned out to be even worse. This is the reason that in a traditional country like India, where parents have been given God-like status, are now  forced to live in old age homes, he asserted.
