Chandigarh Gears Up for the 5th Music and Film Festival: A Three-Day Celebration of Cinema, Music & Culture

Chandigarh, 19 April 2025* — The much-anticipated 5th edition of the Chandigarh Music and Film Festival (CMFF) is all set to light up the cultural calendar from 27th to 29th April 2025, bringing together the magic of music and cinema under one vibrant roof. With a mission to promote quality cinema and music, the festival will kick off at Municipal Bhawan, Sector 35A, Chandigarh, and continue at Chandigarh University, offering an exciting blend of film screenings, celebrity interactions, and industry discussions.

Organized in association with PFTAA, The Jokers, Barosa Cabs, MY FM, Chandigarh Life, CITCO, Punjabi Hits, The Narrators, and the Delhi Institute of Digital Management, the festival has become a key cultural highlight in the region. Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Founder of the Festival, stated, “We believe that society can be changed for the better through meaningful cinema and music. CMFF is a step towards making such content accessible to every corner of our community.”

The festival will commence on 27th April 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with film screenings at Municipal Bhawan, setting the tone for the celebration. The Opening Ceremony and Felicitation Event recognizing the contributions of leading and emerging voices in music and film will take place at 6:00 p.m. on the same day. The event will showcase a diverse collection of films—local and international, narrative and documentary—catering to a wide audience.

Chandigarh Music and Film Festival will then continue the event on 28th and 29th April 2025 at Chandigarh University, where students can look forward to engaging Talk Shows, Q&A sessions, panel discussions on industry trends, and networking opportunities with fellow enthusiasts. These sessions are tailored to inspire young professionals and aspiring creatives.

The festival will also be graced by esteemed personalities from the Mumbai film fraternity, including Rahul Rawail, Roopa Ganguly, Ali Asgar, Priti Sapru, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Inaamul Haq, Mushtaq Khan, Sultana Nooran, Manish Wadhwa, Anang Desai, Vijay Patkar, and Jai Prakkash Shaw, further adding prestige and glamour to the event.

With its growing popularity among budding filmmakers, actors, singers, and cinephiles across Punjab, Haryana, and beyond, the Chandigarh Music and Film Festival 2025 promises to deliver a meaningful, entertaining, and thought-provoking cultural experience.
