Chandigarh, April 20, 2025: The 6th edition of the prestigious EVA Inter-Alumni Golf Tournament concluded today at the Chandigarh Golf Club with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit. Organised by the Ex-Vivekite Association (EVA) under the leadership of President Harkirat Sethi, Vice President Tarun Lehal, and Treasurer Gurdarshan Singh, the tournament brought together 18 alumni associations from across the region.
Raghav Bhandari emerged as the Best Player of the Tournament with an outstanding gross score of 71, earning the top honour presented by EVA. Jaskeerat Dullet secured the Runner Up position with a score of 73 (BB6).
In the Best Nett category, Rao Birender Singh clinched the title with 39 points, edging out Ravibir Singh, who also scored 39 points, on countback.
The Women’s division witnessed impressive performances as well. Rabbiya Gill won Best Nett with 39 points, followed by Mani Chander with 37 points. Ashi Jain won Longest Drive, and Hanima Grewal claimed Nearest to the Pin with a distance of 7 feet 2 inches.
In the Individual EVA Trophy segment:
Varun Rao won Best Gross with a score of 73 (BB9), while Himmat Singh was Runner Up with the same score.
Viren Khosla secured Best Nett with 39 points (BB9), with Avirat Sundra finishing as Runner Up.
Angad Matharoo stood out with the Longest Drive at 315 yards.
Ankit Ahuja won Nearest to the Pin at 8 feet 8 inches.
In the Team Event:
The Best Team (Nett) title was awarded to Arvind Bajaj, Maj R.S. Virk, and Mantegveer Singh (OYA).
The Runner Up Team (Nett) featured Raghav Bhandari, Dilsher Grewal, and Sahil Sahgal (SJOBA).
The 2nd Runner Up Team (Nett) included Saurabh Mangat, Rabbiya Gill, and Varun Rao (EVA).
Col SDS Batth won Longest Drive with a distance of 294 yards, and Brig Jasdeep Chattha secured Nearest to the Pin at 10 feet 3 inches in the main tournament category.
EVA President Harkirat Sethi expressed pride in the successful execution of the tournament, stating, “We successfully hosted the 6th edition of this widely appreciated tournament, witnessing great sportsmanship and camaraderie among alumni.”
The event was graced by several distinguished guests including Justice Anupinder Singh Grewal, Justice Amit Rawal, President of the Golf Club Ravi Bir Singh, G.S. Lehal, and Former Advocate General of Punjab, Gurminder Singh.
