Mohali, April 26, 2025: An international conference on the theme "AI Revolution: Transforming Society and Shaping the Future" was organized under the leadership of Principal Dr. Harish Kumari at Khalsa College (Amritsar) of Technology and Business Studies, Phase 3A, Mohali, in which more than 30 research papers were presented.
The Special Guests of the conference were Inspector Amandeep Kaur, SHO, Cyber Crime, Mohali; Dr. Taranjit Kaur, Associate Professor, SGSS College, Sector 26 Chandigarh. Albert Hansen, Managing Director Lenus Pharma, Austria was the Guest of Honour who joined the conference through virtual mode.
Dr. Sushil Narang, Dean ,Artificial Intelligence at Chitkara University chaired the Inaugural Session. Technical session was chaired by Dr. Harpreet Rai, Director of Training and Placement, Doaba Group of Colleges; and Dr. Amresh Kumar, CEO of Atal Community Innovation Centre – Rise, CGC Landran was present to chair the Valedictory session. Ms Neha Singh, Customer Service Specialist at St George Bank from Australia also joined the conference and gave her insights on the topic. They were warmly welcomed by the college principal.
The conference commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by insightful addresses by the dignitaries on the theme "AI Revolution: Transforming Society and Shaping the Future."
Inspector Amandeep Kaur, in her address, inspired the youth to be cyber-aware and promote the safe and ethical use of artificial intelligence. She emphasized that as AI continues to grow rapidly, it is equally important to understand and ensure its responsible use.
Dr. Sushil Narang stated that AI will not only create new employment opportunities but also redefine social structures.
Chairing the technical session, Dr. Harpreet Rai encouraged students to view AI not just as a technology but as a gateway to vast opportunities.
Dr. Amresh Kumar highlighted the limitless potential of AI and emphasized that its effective use can position India as a global leader.
Principal Dr. Harish Kumari concluded the conference by thanking all participants and reaffirmed the college's commitment to making students aware of future technologies and helping them become responsible innovators.
