Chandigarh,march,14,Chandigarh Police has achieved a major success by arresting 02 accused namely Balram S/o Harish Chander R/o H No 838, Ward No. 19, Arya Nagar, Distt. Rohtak HR age 26 yrs. and Om Parkash S/o Ram Gopal R/o H No. 852/19, Arya Nagar, Distt Rohtak HR age 61 Yrs on 13.3.21 and recovered 9 Laptops, 01 IPAD and 01 charger. With the arrest of accused case FIR no. 40 dt. 6.3.21 u/s 379 IPC and FIR no. 45 dt. 12.3.21 u/s 379,411IPC, PS-36, Chd have been worked out.
From the last few days, laptop theft incidents from buses at ISBT-43, Chandigarh were being reported and in this regard, above said 02 cases have already registered at Police Station 36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Anjali Singh D/o Ramphool Singh R/o VPO- Salimsar Majra, Distt. Sonipat, HR regarding theft of her 02 bags containing 02 laptops, Mobile Phone, Power Bank and some belongings from bus at ISBT-43 and similarly, on the complaint of Chimnay Dandavate S/o Kishor Dandavate R/o Plot No. 84, Natraj Society, Lane No. 2, Parijat Bungalow, Karve Nagar, Pune.(MH) regarding theft of his Laptop make Apple, charger and I-PAD from Bus stand, ISBT, Sector- 43 Chandigarh.
A special team under the supervision of SHO/36 was constituted to crack such cases. During the course of investigation special team has achieved success by arresting 02 accused namely Balram S/o Harish Chander R/o H No 838, Ward No. 19, Arya Nagar, Distt. Rohtak HR age 26 yrs. & Om Parkash S/o Ram Gopal R/o H No. 852/19, Arya Nagar, Distt Rohtak HR age 61 Yrs on 13.3.21 and recovered stolen property from their possession.
Interrogation & Modus Oprandi:-
During interrogation, the accused disclosed that they are drug addicted and habitual criminals. Firstly, they used to sit in the bus and watch/notice the passengers carefully. They targeted such passenger, who is went out from the bus for a while after keeping their bags in bus and immediately stolen their bags.
Previous criminal record – A case of mobile theft was registered against accused Balram S/o Harish Chander in Police station- GRP, Rohtak, HR. However, their criminal record is being verified.
Recovery
01 laptop, 01 I-PAD and 01 charger in case FIR no. FIR no. 45 dt. 12.3.21 u/s 379 add 411 IPC, PS-36,Chd
02 Laptops in case FIR no. 40 dt. 6.3.21 u/s 379,411 IPC, Chd
06 other laptops which are taken in police possession u/s 102 Cr PC.
Today, both accused produced before the Court and obtained 01 day police remand, to ascertain their further involvements, if any.
