ClearMedi Bahra Multispeciality Hospital Unveils Advanced 24×7 Trauma Centre

Mohali, May 1, 2026: ClearMedi Bahra Multispeciality Hospital (CBMH) has unveiled its state-of-the-art 24×7 Trauma Centre and Critical Care Unit in Mohali, reinforcing its commitment to advanced emergency healthcare. Located on NH-21 (Kharar-Kurali), the facility is designed to deliver rapid, specialized, and life-saving care during critical emergencies, especially within the crucial golden hour.

Details about the new facility were shared with the media by Commander Navneet Bali, Executive Director and CEO,  ClearMedi Healthcare; Ritu Ruhela, Facility Director;Mr Vivan Gill, Cluster Head; Dr. Guneet Sodhi (Medical Superintendent) along with senior specialists - Dr Ashish Thakur, Neurosurgeon; Dr Sandeep Kaur, Neurologist; Dr Hari Mohan Sharma, Orthopaedic Surgeon; Dr Hardeep Singh, Gen & Lap Surgeon; Dr Rupali Lahoria Critical care specialist and Dr Gurjeet Kaur Emergency Head, Dr Bharti Tanwar, Plastic surgeon.

Speaking on the occasion, Cdr Navneet Bali said, “The advanced trauma centre shows our unwavering commitment to delivering timely, high-quality emergency care. With world-class infrastructure, trained specialists, and rapid response systems, we aim to significantly improve survival outcomes in critical cases.”

Ms Ritu Ruhela added, “Our focus is on accessibility and preparedness. The 24×7 helpline ensures immediate assistance, while our fully equipped ambulance service, available free within a 20-kilometre radius, strengthens our emergency response capabilities. We also have a dedicated helpline number 80142-80142 to ensure golden hour response.”

The newly launched trauma centre brings together a highly experienced multidisciplinary team to cater to polytrauma cases, including orthopaedic injuries, neurotrauma (head injuries), and oro-maxillofacial conditions, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care.

Echoing this integrated approach, Dr Ashish Thakur noted that timely intervention in head injuries during the golden hour can be life-saving, while Dr Sandeep Kaur emphasised the importance of rapid diagnosis and immediate neurological care in improving outcomes. Dr Hari Mohan Sharma highlighted that early and coordinated orthopaedic management is crucial in trauma recovery, and Dr Hardeep Singh underlined the advantage of advanced surgical infrastructure in handling emergency cases swiftly. Dr Rupali Lahoria pointed to the importance of a strong critical care setup with advanced monitoring systems for stabilising patients, while Dr Bharti Tanwar stressed that timely reconstructive intervention plays a key role in restoring both function and appearance in trauma cases.

Notably, the trauma centre is equipped with advanced ICUs, modular operation theatres, and a fully functional emergency department featuring ventilators, cardiac monitors, C-PAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) and Bi-PAP (Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure) machines, infusion pumps, and an automated AED (Automated External Defibrillator) system. A state-of-the-art minor OT within the emergency unit enables immediate surgical interventions. The hospital also offers comprehensive diagnostic support, including CT scan, MRI, Cath Lab, Ultrasound, and X-Ray facilities.
