Mohali, 3 September 2025:
Citizens Awareness Group (CAG), in collaboration with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), organised a Consumer Awareness Program at Government College, Phase 6, Mohali. Representatives of leading telecom service providers attended the event.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness about consumer rights and responsibilities and to address common problems faced by consumers in their daily lives. Representatives from the police department were also present.
Mr. Lovepreet explained various types of cyber frauds and shared practical tips on how to protect oneself from such threats. Mr. Mohinder Kataria, Secretary General of Citizens Awareness Group, emphasized the importance of staying alert and reporting any suspicious incidents to the police without delay.
Earlier, in his opening remarks, Surinder Verma, Chairman of Citizens Awareness Group, highlighted that CAG is a national organization established in December 1994, working continuously for consumer rights and awareness.
Among the faculty present were Vice Principal Nisha Tripathi, Prof. Rani, Dr. Sabina, Prof. Gurshan, Devika, Rekha, and Gurpal, along with representatives from various telecom service providers.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks.
