Chandigarh, April,19, 2022;Cyber Crime Investigation Cell, Chandigarh has achieved a major success in arrest of accused from Fatehabad, Haryana. For this SP CCIC formed a special team of CCIC under the supervision of DSP/CCIC headed by Incharge/CCIC, in case FIR No 36 dated 17.02.2022 U/s 419, 420, 120B IPC, PS 17, Chandigarh, to apprehend the criminals.
The brief of the case are that CCIC had received a complaint from a lady, in which she reported that she received a call from unknown number regarding her refund issue of her SBI credit card and caller posed himself as SBI credit card official and told that her SBI credit card is already blocked, if she want to get her refund, then share the details of all credit cards, after that she has shared all her credit card details and Rs. 83979/- has deducted from her RBL credit card.
During the course of investigation on 18.4.2022 accused Vikas @ Vicky Kumar S/o Satyanaran, VPO Manawali, Distt Fatehabad, Haryana, Age 23 Years, arrested and 3 mobiles phones which were used at the time of cheating are recovered from his possession, and he disclosed that he uses Assam, Orrisha sim cards and accounts which are on fake address to cheat the innocent people. Accused was produced in court and 06 days police remand of accused Vikas @ Vicky Kumar has been obtained till 23th April. Investigation is going to know the where abouts of other accused in case and other aspects in case.
