Chandigarh:Chandigarh Police achieved a major success by arresting accused namely Tejinder Singh S/o Shiv Raj R/o H. No. 867 Sector-8 Housing Board Colony Ambala City Age-24 years and Kanchan D/o Ashok Kumar R/o H. No. 511, GBP ECO Green-2, Dera Bassi (PB) Age-25 years in case FIR No. 32 dated 22.04.2022 u/s 120B, 170, 171, 419, 464, 465, 466, 468, 474 IPC PS-49 Chandigarh.
Keeping in view of prevention and detection of criminal activities like snatching etc, ASI Rahul Bhardwaj along with police party was on patrolling duty in Sector-49 Chandigarh. On secret information, the team laid a Naka near Gurudwara Sector-49/C Chandigarh under the close supervision of Sh. Davinder Kumar Sharma CPS DSP/DCC and
Inspector Narinder Patial, I/C DCC. During checking, a car Toyota Corola bearing number CH-04E-4708, driven by turban man was stopped and found that the person was wearing uniform of Sub Inspector of Chandigarh Police and one lady was sitting on the front seat also in uniform of Constable of Chandigarh Police. Both the persons impersonated themselves as Police officials of Chandigarh Police. On asking, both the persons were shows their ID card but their ID card is found fake as compare to Chandigarh Police Identity Card. On the search of both the person, fake ID Card of Chandigarh Police along with other crucial documents have also been recovered from their possession. Further investigation is going on.
