LG Electronics Wins Big at DIGIT India’s Top Appliance Awards 2026

Chandigarh : LG Electronics India Limited (LGEIL) has secured 10 wins at DIGIT India’s Top Appliance Awards 2026, held at a gala ceremony in New Delhi. Presented by digit.in, an initiative of Times Network, the awards recognise excellence in home

appliance innovation through a data-driven evaluation process. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences, PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, and Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Unlike consumer-voted popularity contests, the awards follow a rigorous lab-first evaluation process. Nominated products were tested at DIGIT’s laboratories in Mumbai and Noida against more than 150 technical parameters, covering aspects from thermal imaging diagnostics to customer support. The results were reviewed by an independent expert jury.

The jury included Tarun Pathak, Research Director, Counterpoint Research; Navkendar Singh, AVP, IDC; Manas Tiwari, Technology Editor, Times Network; and senior members of DIGIT’s editorial team. Products were assessed on laboratory testing data, real-world usability and relevance of innovation to Indian consumers.

The ceremony was attended by LG senior leadership, including Sanjay Chitkara, Co-Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, along with DIGIT’s editorial and jury panels, over 100 technology opinion leaders, micro-influencers and industry leaders.

The winning portfolio reflects LG’s focus on combining global technology leadership with products designed for Indian household needs, including convertible cooling, inverter-compatible refrigeration and wash cycles suited to local water conditions.
