LG Electronics India Delivers Its Strongest Quarterly Growth Since Listing

Chandigarh : LG Electronics India Limited (LGE India) reported its strongest quarterly growth since listing, with revenue from operations rising 15.5% year-on-year to ₹72.33 billion in Q1 FY27 from ₹62.63 billion a year earlier. EBITDA increased 26.2% to ₹9.04 billion, while the EBITDA margin expanded 106 basis points to 12.5%. Profit after tax (PAT) grew 27.2% to ₹6.53 billion, reflecting premiumisation, operating leverage and continued cost discipline.
“India’s consumer durables market is undergoing a structural shift towards premium, technology-led and energy-efficient products — and this quarter demonstrates that our portfolio is built for precisely that shift,” said Mr. Hong Ju Jeon, Managing Director, LG Electronics India Limited. “Profit grew at nearly twice the pace of revenue, and every category contributed, which tells us the growth is durable rather than seasonal.”
The Home Entertainment segment delivered 22.3% revenue growth to ₹16.57 billion, driven by strong demand for large-screen and premium televisions, while its EBIT margin expanded to 19%. The Home Appliances & Air Solution segment grew 13.6% to ₹55.77 billion, supported by summer demand and premium upgrades.
LGE India also recorded double-digit growth across categories, with exports and B2B operations gaining momentum. Its Information Display business achieved its highest-ever quarterly performance, supported by government and institutional orders. The company said it remains confident about FY27, with festive demand, premium product expansion, B2B growth, exports and new production capacity at Sri City expected to support continued momentum.
