Chandigarh, July 23, 2026: Senior BJP leader Sanjay Tandon participated as the Chief Guest at the 23rd Blood Donation Camp organised by Shri Brahman Sabha, Chandigarh, at Bhagwan Parshuram Bhawan, Sector 37, on the birth anniversary of legendary freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad. The camp witnessed an encouraging response from voluntary blood donors, with 53 units of blood collected during the drive.
Paying rich tributes to Chandrashekhar Azad on his birth anniversary, Tandon said that dedicating the day to a service activity like blood donation is a true tribute to the immortal revolutionary's ideals of patriotism, sacrifice and selfless service to the nation.
Tandon said that blood donation is one of the highest forms of humanitarian service and can help save countless lives. He lauded Shri Brahman Sabha for consistently organising such meaningful initiatives that inspire social responsibility and community participation.
On the occasion, Tandon felicitated the donors by presenting them with certificates, trophies and saplings in recognition of their noble contribution towards saving lives. He appreciated their spirit of selfless service and encouraged more people, especially the youth, to come forward and donate blood regularly.
He urged citizens to actively participate in social welfare initiatives and work collectively to build a healthier, more compassionate and socially responsible and inclusive society.
