PharmaTech & LabTech Expo Takes Off at Parade Ground

Chandigarh, April 28, 2022: Sanjeev Kaushal, IAS, Chief Secretary, Haryana, inaugurated the three-day PharmaTech Expo & LabTech Expo at Parade Ground, Sector 17, here. This is the 12th edition of the expo, which is dedicated to pharmaceutical innovation, technology and knowledge and will be on till April 30,

 Haryana Government in collaboration with Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC India) along with Pharma Technology Index.com Pvt. Ltd. is organizing the expo.

 The Expo is an international exhibition on Pharma Machinery, Formulations, Nutraceutical, Lab, Analytical & Packaging Equipment. The exhibition has been planned in the space of 7500 square meters, with more than 200 Exhibitors displaying machinery and equipment for producing drugs and pharmaceutical products & the event is expected to be visited by about 5000 visitors.

 Sanjeev Kaushal, IAS, Chief Secretary, Haryana, while speaking on the occasion said, it was indeed a good effort to have such an expo and congratulated Trade Fair Authority of Haryana and EEPC for the initiative.

 He said aiming at 5000 visitors during the three-day expo which was indeed a good target. Kaushal said everyone will get good business opportunities.  Talking about challenges he said challenges are always there but we have to deal with them effectively.

 “In Haryana Pharma industry did remarkably well during covid and the lab sector is also doing amazingly well. There is a huge world outside and a large area still needs to be captured”, he added.

 The Chief Secretary said Himachal Pharma sector is also looking for expansion which is indeed a good move and Haryana was ready to provide assistance to industries. In his concluding remarks he said lot of lessons are to be learnt by participating in the expo which will apprise us of the latest equipment.

 An Inaugural Session and Haryana Exporter’s Conclave was today organized jointly with Government of Haryana and Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC India). A seminar on “Quality and Regulatory Requirements of Pharma Export Business” with focus on “Make in India” will be held tomorrow.

 Further, large number of organizations including Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC India), Laghu Udyog Bharti, Himachal Drug Manufacturers Association (HDMA), Ambala Scientific Instruments Manufacturers’ Association (ASIMA), Drug Marketing & Manufacturers Association (DMMA) and other industry associations and Industrial Houses are supporting the event.

 

This conference and exhibition is providing a platform for the industry players to understand current issues and opportunities in the Pharma Machinery sector especially in this region. Additionally, the exhibition is showcasing the latest products, machinery, equipment & developments in the industry for generating business and technology adaptation and up gradation especially related Pharma Industry.

 

Dr. G. Anupama, IAS, Addl. The Chief Secretary, Govt. of Haryana and Chief Administrator, Trade Fair Authority of Haryana while speaking on the occasion, said Pharma Industry is a very important sector of the economy. Indian Pharma Industry is rapidly growing and has occupied an important place in the global market. The growth of the Pharma Industry in India has been phenomenal and recognised globally. Govt. of Haryana has organised this show under the banner of Trade Fair Authority of Haryana in collaboration with EEPC India. The major reason for choosing Chandigarh as a venue of this exhibition is the setting up of a large number of pharmaceutical units like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and J&K in the last decade. There is a huge demand for pharma machinery and equipment these days. The response from the participants is overwhelming and an impressive footfall of the buyers is expected during this three days exhibition.
