Chandigarh/Mohali, June 25, 2023:Dr Zafar Aminov, Vice-Chancellor of Samarkand State Medical University (SSMU), a top-ranking government university established in 1930 in Uzbekistan, inaugurated the university's
Rep-cum-Liaison office in Chandigarh. The director of MD House Dr. Sunil Sharma will be running this office. A seminar was also organized on this occasion, in which more than 100 students received their admit cards from the VC himself.
According to Vice-Chancellor Dr. Zafar Aminov, the sole purpose of opening a rep-cum-liaison office in India was to provide transparent and authentic information to young medical students who wish to study at Samarkand State Medical University. More than 1500 students from India are pursuing medical education at SSMU and many more have graduated this year.
MD House Director Dr. Sunil Sharma said that the university follows all the norms prescribed by the National Medical Commission of India and its tuition fee is US $ 1600 (appx Rs 1.30 lakh) per semester, which can be paid from India directly into the university account.
