Over 75 cadets of 26th Battalion of Indo Tibetan Border Police form part of Yoga Day Celebrations at the Ludhiana Township
AIPL DreamCity Ludhiana celebrated International Yoga Day today with over 75 cadets of 26th Battalion of Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). In addition to the cadets, the staff, residents and even some prominent citizens of Ludhiana took part in the Yoga celebrations.
While an expert yoga instructor from ITBP guided the cadets and other attendees, prominent yoga instructor of Ludhiana Pramesh Mishra was also present. Pramesh Mishra specialises in Iyengar Yoga, Ashtanga yoga, Hatha yoga, aerial yoga and meditation exercises.
Post an invigorating yoga session which started at the crack of dawn, AIPL DreamCity Ludhiana played the perfect host and served a healthy breakfast organised by AIPL for all the attendees.
International Yoga Day is being celebrated every year today since 2015. This year’s theme for International Day of Yoga 2023 is “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” which aptly describes our aspiration for - 'One Earth One Family One Future.’
Speaking at the yoga day event, Mr Shamsheer Singh Director AIPL said: ``Today’s day aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga. Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. The word ‘yoga’ derives from Sanskrit and means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness. We are happy to play hosts to ITBP and other important people of the city on this day. They chose our AIPL DreamCity Ludhiana as it exudes beauty and peace.’’
