Sony SAB’s Dil Diyaan Gallaan is a family drama that sheds light on a family separated by both physical and emotional disparities. The show talks about the impact of misunderstandings, lack of
communication, and unexpressed emotions, which contribute to conflicts among three generations. With Sanjot (Jasjeet Babbar) and Dilpreet (Pankaj Barry) being across the globe from each other, the rift between the Brar family has only been growing. Adding to these existing troubles, Rana (Ravi Gossain) gets caught in the web of a drug racket led by Dilpreet’s nemesis Khushwant unknowingly and risks putting the Brar family in danger.
When Rana sees some old villagers looking upset, he thinks the best way to get their minds off their problems is to involve them in some work. Realising that Khushwant sells medicines in the hospital that Dilpreet and Maan had built, he sees it as the perfect opportunity for both parties. However what Rana doesn’t see is that the medicines are a cover up for Khushwant’s drug business.
Will Rana’s desperation make him the victim of yet another unfortunate ordeal?
Ravi Gossain, who essays the role of Rana, said, “Rana is ruled by his emotions. While sometimes they help him empathise with people and understand their problems, other times they get the best of him; causing Rana to lash out or take impulsive decisions. Similarly, when he sees the old villagers in despair, his heart goes out to them, and he decides to help. However, what he doesn’t factor in is Khushwant’s dodgy nature. Seeing him caught in this mess is going to be an emotional rollercoaster for the audiences.”
