Chandigarh, June 25, 2022: Sri Chaitanya Chandigarh students have excelled in Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY 2021) results by achieving AIR 7 and AIR 9 along with 11 selections in Top 100 and 25 selections in Top 1000.
AIR 7 rank went to Chidvilas and AIR 9 rank went to Nivesh. There were 8 selections in 2018, 14 selections in 2019, 26 selections in 2020, & finally 25 selections in 2022.
The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an ongoing National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research careers in science.
The objective of the program is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research, help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.
The students at Sri Chaitanya Chandigarh celebrated the students' result at the centre in Sector 34 here.

We assure each student and parent of Sri Chaitanya that the only way we’ll move forward is towards the journey of getting each student of our institute selected in IITs, IIITs, NITs, AIIMS, Top Medical Colleges and other Tier-1 Colleges.”

If you clear KVPY, you will receive a scholarship from 1st year onwards of your graduation. The KVPY scholars receive Rs. 5000 monthly scholarship from 1st to 3rd year of B.Sc/ B.Stat/ B.S./ B.Math/ Integrated M.S./M.Sc and an annual contingency grant of Rs.20,000. After three years the scholarship is enhanced to Rs.7,000 per month during M.Sc/ 4th & 5th year of Integrated M.S./ M.Sc and an annual contingency grant of Rs. 28,000.
Selection of the students is made from those studying in XI standard to 1st year of any undergraduate Program in Basic Sciences namely B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./
