Cyber Crime Awareness program was organized by CCIC officials at SDPO South office for the officials of Chandigarh Police,

Chandigarh,Oct,6:The month of October 2021 is globally observed as the National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) by Government of India, with an aim of increasing Cyber Security Awareness among the public and private sector. It will enhance the cyber resilience of the Nation. Towards achieving these, Chandigarh Police is also celebrating National Cyber Security Awareness Month October-2021 and organizing various Cyber Awareness Programs/events. 
On 06.10.2021, Cyber Jagrukta Diwas along with induction event was celebrated at MCM DAV College, Sector-36, Chandigarh. Sh. Parveer Ranjan IPS DGP Chandigarh was the chief guest and other Senior Officers also attended the event. A motivational speech was delivered to students by DGP Chandigarh for making their future bright and also give opportunity to students to work with Chandigarh Police as Social Media/Cyber Volunteer. The Cyber Cell of Chandigarh Police and Cyber Volunteers created awareness about Do’s and Don’ts of Cyber Crime.  
In addition, Cyber Crime Helpline Number 155260 and Whatsapp Cyber Helpline Number 7087006997 have been integrated on E-Sathi Application of Chandigarh Police, which will be helpful for Citizen to file their complaint related to Cyber offences. 
Furthermore, a Cyber Crime Awareness program was organized by CCIC officials at SDPO South office for the officials of Chandigarh Police, which was attended by the officials of Police Stations, Sector-31,34,36,39,49 & Maloya. 
The Cyber Crime Awareness programs will continue for the month of October 2021.
