GGDSD College signs MoU with PRCI Chd Chapter, forms Young Communicators Club

Chandigarh,Oct,28:Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma in collaboration with Public Relations Council of India celebrated World Communicators Day today. Dr. H.K. Bali, eminent cardiologist was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Sh. U.K. Sharma, President, GGDSD College Society was the Guest of Honour. 
The college signed an MoU with PRCI and also inaugurated the Youth Communicators Club. 
The PRCI State Level Awards 2021 were also announced on the occasion. The Aneesh Bhanot Award of Excellence was conferred upon the President of Rotary Club Chandigarh Shivalik Mr. Sham Rawal. Mr. Jayanth Pethkar was conferred the Veteran Academician award and Mr. Arun Johar was conferred the Veteran Public Relations Practitioner award. The award of excellence for impactful communication was given to Ojaswee Sharma from RF Entertainment. Ms. Swati Munjal received the Government Communication and Young Professional award. 
Ms. Renuka Salwan, Northern Region Head, PRCI highlighted the important aspects of the organisation and its Chandigarh chapter. Mr C.J. Singh, National Vice President, PRCI appreciated the vision of the college to collaborate with a professional organisation. 
Mr. U.K. Sharma said, "This MOU will be of benefit to our students. This collaboration will help students build requisite professional skills.”
Speaking to the student audience, Mr. Vivek Atray, Chapter Chair explained, "This college has diversity, dedication and dynamism. The World Communicators Day is a day to think about communication. Communication should be from the heart. One needs to prioritize and distil information being thrown at us from all directions.”
Speaking about the importance of health communication, Mr. Bali said, "If information had been disseminated to countries on time, we could have prevented this pandemic. Health has been a neglected child in the field of communication." He further encouraged students to take up a career in health communication. 
Dr Priya Chadha, HoD said, “We are honoured to ink MOU with PRCI and form Young Communicators Club. The aim is to provide hands on experience to budding professionals.
 Mr. Ajay Sharma, Principal of the college, proposed the vote of thanks. “The college is looking forward to a wholesome partnership with PRCI.”
