Chandigarh:As part of its continued commitment towards environmental conservation and sustainable development, 13 Battalion, CRPF organized a Tree Plantation Drive today under the leadership of Smt. Kamal Sisodiya, Commandant, 13 Bn CRPF.
Officers and Jawans of the battalion actively participated in the drive, demonstrating their collective dedication towards protecting and preserving the environment.
The plantation drive was undertaken with the objective of increasing green cover, promoting ecological balance, and creating awareness about the importance of environmental protection. Various species of saplings, including Neem, Peepal, Sukhchain, and Amla, were planted across the battalion campus.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Smt. Kamal Sisodiya highlighted the vital role of trees in maintaining ecological balance and ensuring a sustainable future. She emphasized that environmental protection is a shared responsibility and encouraged all personnel to actively contribute towards conserving nature. She also stressed the importance of nurturing and protecting the planted saplings, stating that every tree planted today is an investment in a healthier and greener tomorrow.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all ranks, reaffirming the commitment of 13 Bn CRPF towards environmental stewardship and the national mission of building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable India.
