Chandigarh, 24 April:The 108 Ambulance Service once again demonstrated its efficiency and dedication by providing timely assistance in critical emergency situations.
In one case, a pregnant woman at Nabha Pind near a Government School suddenly went into severe labor pain while being taken to CHC Dhakoli. The ambulance team reached quickly, but as her condition became critical, EMT Karandeep Singh and Pilot Balbir Singh safely delivered the baby inside the ambulance. Both mother and baby were later taken to the hospital for further care.
In another case, during an ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) match, a person got injured after being hit by the ball. The 108 ambulance team reached the spot without delay. EMT Lali Singh and Pilot Parmjeet Singh gave first aid and safely shifted the injured person to the nearest hospital.
These incidents highlight that ambulance teams are trained to handle all kinds of emergencies—not just accidents. From childbirth to sudden injuries during large public events, they act quickly, calmly, and efficiently when it matters most.
Project Head Manish Batra said:
“Our teams are trained and ready to handle all types of emergencies. Their dedication and commitment ensure that people receive timely and quality emergency care whenever needed.”
The 108 Ambulance Service continues to serve as a lifeline for people, ensuring rapid response and dependable medical support in every emergency situation.
