Chandigarh:The event was graced by Smt. Seema Uniyal, Sectoral President, CWA (NWS) as the Chief Guest, and Shri Dinesh Uniyal, IGP (NWS) as the Guest of Honour along with other senior Officers and families.
The celebration commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the release of tricolour balloons into the sky by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Commandant and CRPF families, symbolizing peace, unity, and pride.
During the event, Commandant Smt. Kamal Sisodiya briefed the gathering about the glorious history and achievements of the battalion, highlighting its rich legacy of valour, courage, and sacrifice.
The dignitaries then visited various food and gaming stalls set up by different companies of the 13th Battalion.
The main attractions of the mela were the ‘Sadda Punjab’ booth, depicting vibrant Punjabi culture, and the Weapons Gallery, both of which received high appreciation from the guests and the public alike.
A cultural programme was also organized in which CRPF personnel and school children showcased colourful performances. The Bhangra performed by the jawans and Gidda presented by the school children were the highlights of the evening.
Smt. Seema Uniyal and Shri Dinesh Uniyal appreciated the excellent organization of the event by 13th Battalion and lauded the dedicated efforts and hard work displayed by the team. They also motivated the jawans and their families to continue serving the nation with the same zeal and commitment.
In the concluding ceremony, the Smt Seema Uniyal president CWA NWS and Sh Dinesh Uniyal IGP NWS felicitated the winners and participants of the cultural events, acknowledging their enthusiasm and talent.
The mela witnessed a large public gathering, filled with joy, unity, and festive spirit. The event was a grand success, reflecting the discipline, dedication, and camaraderie of the CRPF family
