Abohar, October 5, 2025 : In the ongoing state-level archery competition in Punjab, four children from Fazilka district have won a Bronze Medal in the Under 14 category. Among them, three children—Uday Pratap Singh Khera, Abhay Pratap Singh Khera (son of Jagmeet Singh Khera), and Hiren Chaudhary, son of Brahm Prakash Chaudhary—are residents of village Dangar Khera, while the fourth winner, Mayank, son of Lekhraj Chaudhary, hails from village Alamgarh.
Coach Ravi Kumar said that these four Bronze Medal-winning children have been practicing under his supervision for quite some time. They have achieved the Bronze Medal in the state-level competition through their hard work. The coach congratulated the children on their success and mentioned that if they continue to work hard, they may also participate in national-level and Olympic competitions in the future. The children's families and the school principal also congratulated them and wished for their bright future. Hiren Chaudhary's father, Brahm Prakash Chaudhary, noted that this success, achieved through the hard work of the children and the coach, has not only honored the coach, school, and parents but has also brought recognition to the village Dangar Khera in the district.
Village Dangar Khera has previously made a name for itself by participating in discussions on various subjects. The youth here have also been in the limelight for government jobs. Recently, efforts are ongoing in the village to establish a playground. Recently, the villagers worked for 15 consecutive days to deliver relief materials to livestock and people in the flood-affected areas of Fazilka district, with the Youth Club Dangar Khera playing a significant role.
Last month, the Honorable High Court ruled in a writ petition that the administration should provide surplus land for the construction of a playground in Dangar Khera as per the act. The governmental process has already begun, which will soon provide better facilities for the children and youth of the village to play. The successes of village Dangar Khera not only reflect the hard work of the children but also demonstrate that when a community stands united, it can face any challenge. The villagers are committed to supporting their youth, ensuring that more children can establish their identity in sports in the future. This news serves as an inspiration for all children struggling to realize their dreams.
