Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology (Degree Wing) celebrated Independence Day on August 15, 2024 at College Campus. Flag hosting was done by Dr. M. S. Gujral, Principal CCET (Degree Wing) in presence of All HODs, Dr. Sunil K. Singh, Professor Incharge Student Welfare and Dr. Gulshan Goyal, Assistant Professor (CSE) cum President Student Council.
Various events were organized by student council on this occasion under the themes of “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV” “EK BHARAT SHRESHTHA BHARAT” and “HAR GHAR TIRANGA” and “VIKSIT BHARAT”. Students played the “Main Bharat Hoon” song followed by a poem. Students of Beatles club performed patriotic dance. This was followed by patriotic song by a group of 7-notes club students. Dr. M. S. Gujral delivered the motivational speech. The main focus of speech was on the vision of Viksit Bharat. Further, he delivered an orientation session on “Anti Ragging” as a part of Anti Ragging Week being celebrated from 12-08-2024 to 18-08-2024. Faculty, staff and students also took pledge on “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan”.
