Chandigarh: Sharan Ahluwalia and Shalini Goyal organized the biggest Teej celebration of Tricity at MOBE, Sector-26, Chandigarh which was attended by hundreds of enthusiasts. Hariyali Teej, an age-old Hindu festival, which falls on the third day of Shukla Paksha to mark the reunion of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati was celebrated with a lot of merriment in Chandigarh.Explaining about the event, Sharan Ahluwalia said, “Teej is believed to be the first festival of the festive season. There will be a lot of festivities now, including Janmashtami, Karwachauth, Diwali, Dusshera, and all other festivals that are celebrated across the country. We have started the festivities here in Tricity, with this mega festival.”

Shalini Goyal said, “Ladies, donning various festive dresses, enjoyed the celebrations. The area was decorated as per the theme of the event and women dressed them up that merged with the hues and spirit of the event. I am thankful to all the participants for their overwhelming participation and making the event memorable and successful.”
The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of the region and provided a platform for women to come together and celebrate womanhood.
Main Attractions of the event were Return Gifts, Punctuality gifts hampers, DJ Dance & Dhol, Fun Games with other Prizes, Teej Titles for Teej Queens, Ramp Walk by Lucky Draw. The winners of various competitions in the event were announced and awarded by the organizers.
Under the competitions held at the event Sakshi Mahajan, Aman, Shweta, Neha and Rashi were adjudged the winners of Miss Teej contest.
Gagan Brar & Gagan Walia enthralled the audience with their Folk dance performance while Anchor Karam Khurana kept the audience glued to their seats.
