Chandigarh : Nothing brings India together more than festivals. The start of a new year also brings with it winter harvest festivities, which are celebrated with great zeal across the country in various traditions and customs that are unique to each region. On January 14th and 15th, Moj will celebrate Makar Sankranti, the first festival of the year, on Moj LIVE. Moj creators will host fun Sankranti-themed activities for their audience on the platform as the entire country comes to life with great pomp and enthusiasm and the skies turn into a massive colour palette. A 'Voters Battle' and a 'Gifters Battle' will be organised, in which the creators will undertake activities such as which Sankranti song they should perform or with whom they should fly kites, giving the audience options to make choices for them, the creator with the most votes, and the gifters with the most gifts will be able to participate in real-time with the creator. Moj creators will engage in fun conversations about the importance of sankranti, food and attire and much more.
Moj has introduced three new types of 'Cheers' (virtual gifts) to commemorate the various festivals: Bonfire Cheer for Lohri, Kite Cheer for Sankranti, and Pongal Pot Cheer for Pongal. Users can purchase cheers and give them to their favourite creators, who will turn them into mints and celebrate these festivals.
