Karnal, August 30: Park Hospital Karnal has successfully completed over 600 robotic knee replacements surgeries.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Dr Bhanu Pratap Singh director orthopedics and robotic joint replacement surgery said,” We at Under Park Mahotsav, Park Hospital is offering free robotic technology to our patients till October 31, an initiative aimed to make advanced healthcare accessible to every section of society.
Park Hospitals is North India’s biggest super-specialty hospital network with 19 hospitals, 3500 beds, 800 ICU beds, 14 Cath Labs, 45 modular OTs and over 1000 doctors.
During the occasion, Park Hospital, Karnal also announced the launch of its state-of-the-art robotic arthroplasty center of excellence which is a pioneering facility set to redefine orthopedic care in the region.
The center will be led by Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh Saluja, a globally acclaimed orthopedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience and over 25000 successful joint replacement surgeries to his credit & Dr. Sharad Chaudhri consultant orthopedics.
Park Hospital Karnal is equipped with a robo suite, incorporating robo 3D, eye and arm, that deliver unprecedented precision, efficiency and superior patient outcomes.
Dr. Sharad Chaudhari said, “Now with the recent advancement in technology in robotic surgery powered by 3D augmented reality AR, the entire knee replacement surgery is performed in 12-15 minutes. There is no requirement for blood transfusion, no sutures, no drains as surgery is performed from small cuts of 3.5 to 4 inches and patients can walk 4 hours after the surgery. Patients can climb stairs from the next day, and full recovery happens within 7-10 days.”
