Grand celebration of Raksha Bandhan festival in 13th Bn Chandigarh

Chandigarh:The holy festival of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with great joy and cultural dignity in 13th Bn located in Chandigarh. On this occasion, Brahma Kumaris, Bharatiya Sanskriti Gyan Sanstha Chandigarh, Voice of Women and children of Shri Kulwant Rai Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir School presented an emotional and inspiring example by celebrating the festival of Raksha Bandhan with the brave soldiers.

In the program, first of all, the school children presented a symbol of their affection by tying Rakhi on the wrists of the soldiers as sisters and feeding them sweets. The soldiers also took the blessings of the sisters with emotion and pledged to protect them.

On this occasion, Smt. Kamal Sisodia, Commandant, who was present as the chief guest, in her address highlighted the importance of Raksha Bandhan and said that this festival not only strengthens the relationship between brother and sister, but also strengthens the feeling of unity, love and security in the society. He said that it is indeed a matter of pride and honour to celebrate this festival with our soldiers who secure the internal security of the country.

A special session was also organised by Brahma Kumaris in the programme, in which views were shared on the coordination of spirituality and culture. He said that Rakhi is not just a thread, but it is a symbol of faith, love and duty. Raksha Sutras were also distributed in the programme on behalf of 'Bharatiya Sanskriti Gyan' Sanstha.

The school principal and other teachers motivated the children to participate in this event and told that such programmes strengthen the feeling of patriotism in the students.

At the end of the programme, all the dignitaries and participating organisations expressed their gratitude to the soldiers and appreciated this initiative. Everyone described this event as a memorable and inspiring experience. This event not only became a medium of instant emotional bonding but also further strengthened the bond of intimacy and trust between the society and the armed forces.
