Zirakpur 23 November 2024: To meet the shortage of blood in hospitals due to dengue, Mukesh Chauhan, Managing Director of Media Mantraa PR and Advertising, in front of Chandigarh Citi Center located on VIP Road in memory of his mother Late Smt. Sunita Devi Ji. Blood donation camp was organized.
This blood donation camp was organized by Vishvas Foundation Panchkula with the blessings of Gurudev Shri Swami Vishvas Ji in collaboration with HDFC Bank, Chandigarh Citi Centre, Budo Kai Do Mixed Martial Arts Federation of India and Indian Red Cross Society District Branch Mohali. The camp started at 10:30 in the morning and continued till 3 in the afternoon.
Vishvas Foundation President Sadhvi Neelima Vishvas said that 55 donors registered to donate blood in the camp, 7 were refused to donate blood due to health-related problems. The team of Blood Bank Homi Bhabha Cancer Institute Mullanpur collected 48 units of blood under the supervision of Dr. Naveen Bansal. Mohit Amba from HDFC Bank participated in this blood donation camp and encouraged the blood donors.
Mukesh Chauhan said that there is a misconception among the people that donating blood causes weakness in the body. Donating blood does not cause any weakness, rather everyone must donate blood once in 90 days. This helps the needy and also keeps the body healthy. A noble act like donating blood is of greatest service. He told that in making the camp successful, Ekamvir Ekamvir Singh, Kush Agnihotri, Swarn Singh Birdi, Harnek Singh, Luv Agnihotri, Ravindra Pal Sharma, Jeet Singh, Karthik Malik, Himanshu, Ritesh, Gurpreet of Budo Kai Do Mixed Martial Arts Federation of India were instrumental in making the camp successful. The contribution of Harjot Singh, Sameer and coach Ravinder Pal Sharma was highly commendable.
All the blood donors who came to this blood donation camp were encouraged by giving appreciation letters and gifts. On this occasion, Saral Vishwas, Rishi Shashvat Vishvas, Pawan Garg, TC Ghai, Sandeep Parmar, Brij Bahjan, Shatrughan Kumar and other distinguished guests from Vishvas Foundation were present.
