Chandigarh:Round Table India (RTI), a leading youth organization dedicated to nation-building under its motto ‘service through fellowship,’ is celebrating RTI Week from November 11th to November 16th. With a presence in over 138 cities and towns and more than 350 chapters, RTI is well-known for its impactful service projects across India.
Nationwide Movie Screening Initiative
RTI launched RTI Week on November 11th with a nationwide event, bringing 10,000 underprivileged children across India to movie screenings in collaboration with Cinepolis. In Chandigarh, over 300 students attended screenings at Cinepolis Jagat, Sector 17, and Fun Republic Manimajra, marking the beginning of a memorable experience for the children.
Chandigarh Spartans Round Table 294 Activities
The Chandigarh Spartans Round Table 294 organized its second event at Government Primary School, Kakrali, introducing “Kreeda Yoga” to 150 students. This innovative program blends yoga with playful games, providing a fun and educational experience for the children. Expert yoga trainers from PGI, Chandigarh, led the session, which received great enthusiasm from the students.
RTI’s involvement with the school dates back to 2021-22 when it renovated the premises and built two new classrooms as part of its ‘Freedom Through Education (FTE)’ initiative.
Donation of Inverter
Tabler Pankush Miglani, Secretary of RT294, further supported the school by donating an inverter on November 11th, ensuring a continuous power supply for students and staff.
About Freedom Through Education (FTE)
Tabler Pankush Miglani highlighted that the FTE initiative has been transformative, with RTI constructing over 9,272 classrooms across 3,782 projects over the past 25 years, impacting more than 10.2 million children. In the last decade, RTI has averaged the construction of one classroom per day, underscoring its commitment to education and empowerment.
RTI Week: A Series of Impactful Activities
The entire RTI Week will feature a variety of activities aimed at giving back to the community, including food drives, a blood donation camp, workplace yoga sessions, Go Green initiatives, and Children’s Day celebrations. These events will offer opportunities for members to contribute positively to their local communities, further reinforcing RTI’s mission of service through fellowship.
