Ojas Hospital, Panchkula launches ‘Sports Injury Centre of Excellence’

Chandigarh, January : Ojas Hospital, Panchkula a unit of Alchemist Hospitals Ltd on Thursday announced the launch of its cutting-edge Sports Injury Centre of Excellence department. During the occasion, a patient information booklet ‘Post-Operative Physiotherapy Regimen’ was also released.
Talking about key features of the center, Dr. Suresh Singla, head of department of Joint Replacement and Sports Medicine said that center boasts the latest diagnostic tools to ensure accurate and swift assessments of sports injuries, enabling timely and effective treatment plans. The department boasts of innovative surgical equipment and infrastructure designed to deliver precision and efficacy in the treatment of sports injuries. This includes arthroscopic surgeries, joint preservation techniques, and individualized rehabilitation programs, all tailored to ensure a swift return to sports and normal life for our patients.

Dr. Singla further said that ligament and tendon injuries which fall under sports related injuries can even occur in our day to day life like after falling from stairs, slipping on a wet floor and after a minor accident. Delaying medical attention in such situations and in sports injuries can lead to long term discomfort, hindrance from returning to sports at pre-injury levels and even permanent damage in some cases, he opined.
