Chandigarh, July,9: GGDSD College Library conducted online training on the ‘ProwessIQ Database’ on 9th July 2021. The purpose of this training is to acquaint the faculty members and research scholars with the application of this database to enable research works in their respective fields.
The training was conducted by Rajeev Ranjan, Asst. Vice President (AVP), Centre For Monitoring Indian Economy Pvt. Ltd. The participant learned the techniques of retrieving data like Annual reports, Quarterly financial statements, of various companies, Stock Exchange feeds. The participants were also trained in how to do normalization to enable inter-company and inter-temporal comparisons. The training provided will be useful in conducting industry-wide in-depth research work and facilitating effective decision-making.
The training programme was attended by more than 50 faculty members and research scholars mainly from Departments of Commerce & Management and Economics from GGDSD College, Chandigarh
