Delhi, The launch of the Gali Mohalla Cricket League (GMCL) in Delhi witnessed an overwhelming response from the youth, marking a strong beginning for GMCL Season 1 (2025–2026). The Coaches Exhibition Matches featured 16 teams, each comprising 8 players, competing over 15 playoff-format matches held on 29th and 30th November 2025 at the Ramjas Cricket Ground, Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Baba Inder Preet Singh said, “Players who earlier viewed tennis-ball box cricket as a hobby are now getting serious after learning about its potential across India and internationally. GMCL is emerging as the biggest grassroots platform for youth, not just in India but globally. The participation and positive feedback over these two days have boosted this as a national movement.”
GMCL has been launched under Phase 1 across five countries—MENA Region, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Nepal—along with five Indian states—Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra. Participants expressed their enthusiasm about the event and highlighted how Tennis Ball Box Cricket is creating a transformative opportunity for young boys and girls aspiring to build a professional cricket career.
The GM Box Cricket Association also announced plans to identify the two best bowlers and two best batsmen from the Coaches Exhibition Tournament. These selected players will be given an opportunity to participate in GMCL’s international exhibition match, scheduled for early 2026.
The successful coordination and execution of the two-day event were led by the management team—Gurpreet Kaur, Elen, Gaurav Babar, and Rahul, ensuring a smooth experience for all participants.
