NGO holds Community Kitchen

Panchkula, March 19, 2023: A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) - Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation organised a community kitchen, or bhandara, here. This was the Foundation's  51st bhandara and  a Delhi based  Industrialist family provided the funds for the same. To support the noble cause, Shyam Kumar Maheshwari who is an Industrialist from Delhi and his wife Abha Maheshwari  came forward and extended financial support for the 'Sarvajanik Bhandara' or Community Kitchen.
Amitabh Rungta, Sevadar of Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation, said that he is deeply grateful to the Maheshwari couple for the gesture as it helped feed 100's of needy people like daily wagers, labourers, factory workers etc .

It is noteworthy that Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation provides  free food or langar through its weekly bhandara, and also serves abandoned cows and  cows that require medical treatment. The weekly bhandara is held at Industrial Area, Phase 2, Panchkula. The NGO has also announced that it will adopt needy girl students from the villages of Panchkula district and undertake all expenses for their education. A list of such girls was being made through a survey of underprivileged families living in villages.
