Chandigarh, May 18, 2022:For the first time in the world, a combination of insecticide and nutrients in the form of WG formulation has been developed by Sulphur Mills limited to combat the deadly pest - yellow stem borer. Imara, Judwaa G and Reap products were launched at Hotel Radisson, Zirakpur today.
Rajender Akhani, National Sales Head, said that Imara is one of a kind product because the inert materials used for the formation of insecticides are replaced with Sulphur (70%) and Zinc Oxide (13%), replacing the non-active compounds. It leads to the protection of plants from harmful inert and provides the required nutrition to the plants. It is also beneficial for soil health. Hence getting its tagline- “Imara Ek, Faayde Anek”.
Imara is a WG based product which makes its application easier. It is suggested to apply it after 15 to 20 days of transplanting in the paddy crop and 25 to 30 days after sowing in the direct sown crop by mixing 4 kg per acre of soil or manure uniformly. It is a protective shield against the stem borer.
Hitesh Patel, Vice president, of Marketing, said, “India ranks second in terms of rice production but lacks in terms of productivity. One of the major yield reductions happens due to pest attacks. Among these pests, yellow stem borer is known for reducing the yield by 20% in early planted paddy and by 80% in late-planted paddy. So to give our fellow farmers a helping hand, Sulphur Mills has brought Imara- insecticide and nutrient combination on WG.”
