Chandigarh, February 15, 2025: Today, Mr. Jasbir Bunty, Senior Deputy Mayor & Ms. Taruna Mehta, Deputy Mayor of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh, inaugurated a free ‘Health & Heart Check-Up Camp’, at Gurdwara Sahib of Bapudham Colony, Sector 26, Chandigarh. This initiative was jointly organized by Yuvsatta, Residents Welfare Association, Sector 26 and Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society in collaboration with Mukat Hospital & Heart Institute, Chandigarh.
Prominent amongst those who were present included Mr. Pramod Sharma, founder, Yuvsatta, Ms. Harminder Batra, Director, Mukat Hospital, Mr. Krishan Lal, President, Residents Welfare Association, Sector 26, Mr. Nirmal Singh, President, Gurdwara, Sector 26, Mr. Sanjay Sharma of Market Welfare Association of Sector 26, Chandigarh.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Jasbir Bunty, said that our health is in our hands, with a healthy lifestyle consisting of right thoughts, good food and abstinence from toxic substances. He appreciated the role of institutions like Yuvsatta, Residents Welfare Association, Sector 26 and Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society and Mukat Hospital & Heart Institute, Chandigarh, for their exemplary work to empower and support the marginalized.
More than 200 patients were screened today and given the required medicines, medical advice and condoms for safe-sex and family planning. In the end, Mr Pramod from Yuvsatta thanked all the partners for such a noble cause and said they look forward to more such opportunities for the marginalized in the future also.
