Chandigarh:National Integration Camp organized by Regional Directorate, Ministry of Youth affairs and sports, Govt of India was inaugurated today at Chandigarh University campus, Gharuan, Mohali by Prof. (Dr. ) Manpreet Singh Manaa, Vice Chancellor Chandigarh University. This program has been planned and organised under the able guidance of *Visinory leader S. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor of Chandigarh University and member of Parliament, Rajaya Sabha.*
In this camp 200 hundred NSS volunteers from 10 different states namely Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Utter Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Harayana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Chandigarh are participating alongwith their NSS programme officers.
During the inauguration ceremony volunteers from Punjab , Himachal, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh showcased their cultural activities.
Prof. (Dr.) Manpreet Singh Manna in his address encouraged the NSS Volunteers for the development of India under the theme *"Mera Bharat - Sashakt Bharat- Viksit Bharat @ 2047"*. This camp has been planned for seven days, during which the volunteers will participate in various competitions, events and visit the historic places.
During the first day of camp various competitions like , Poster making, Rangoli Making and speech/ elocution were organised.
In the evening volunteers from all states performed their state cultural performances .
During the inaugural ceremony of National Integration Camp, S. Kulwinder Singh, Deputy director NSS , Govt. Of Punjab, Ms. Rupinder Kaur , Mr. Nemi Chand Golia, State NSS officers, Punjab and Chandigarh alongwith Pro - Vice Chancellor Chandigarh University were also present.
The program has been organised under the supervision of Shri Jai Bhagwan, Regional Director, NSS Ministry of Youth affairs and sports, Govt of India , Regional Directator NSS, Chandigarh and Wg Cdr.( Dr.) J S Minhas, NSS Programme Coordinator, Chandigarh University.
