Chandigarh:28.04.2023:The team of Police Station-49 Chandigarh has arrested one person for using fake number plate on vehilce no. HR03 W 5712 Activa White color.
Case FIR No. 29 dated 27.04.2023 U/s 471, 473,411 IPC, PS-49, Chandigarh has been registered, as a secrect information was received that one person is roaming on Activa No. HR 03W 5712 White Color using fake number plate on the vehicle. On this information, a Naka was installed by HC Varinder Singh No.102/CP near Motor Market, Sector-48 Chandigarh and during the checking, one person namely Mukesh Kumar was apprehended with an activa no HR 03 W 5712 and it was found that he was using a fake number and the said Vehicle Number was actually allocated to Kuldeep Kumar R/o 48 A Police Colony Panchkula Haryana. On verification it has been found that complainant Mukesh Kumar had purchased the said Activa from Saurabh Gupta S/o Subash Kumar Gupta R/o 111 Sec 21 chd for a sum of Rs 36000/-. However, Saurabh Gupta could not produce any document to prove from where he had purchased this activa. It has also been verified from original owner Kuldeep Kumar and found that the activa with original number is in his possession and he had made a complaint that someone is using the number of his activa and he had received challan for traffic violation. Complaiannt Mukesh Kumar further told that he had visited Saurabh Gupta for RC of Vehicle but he did not provide the same to him. He had also made a complaint to PS 19 Chandigarh in this regard.
During the course of investigation, accused Sourab Gupta S/o Subhash Kumar Gupta R/o House No.111, Sector-21A Chandigarh Age-39 Years has been arrested on 27.04.2023. Today he is being produced before the Hon’ble Court.
