GB Realty Chandigarh Golf League 2026 Tees Off Bigger Than Ever

Chandigarh, September 29, 2026: The Chandigarh Golf Club today announced the GB Realty Chandigarh Golf League (CGL) 2026, the largest edition in the league’s history. Featuring 24 teams and 384

players in four groups, the season will run across 18 match days and 68 matches at the Chandigarh Golf Club from October 03 to 30, 2026.

The 2026 edition also carries a larger prize pool, with up to ₹40 lakh to be won by the top eight teams.

GB Realty, the Tricity’s leading real estate company, is the title sponsor of the league. It is joined by Médecins Sans Frontières as Humanitarian Partner, AM Green IGPL, Lexus as Preferred Mobility Partner and L’Atelier 1664 as Good Taste Partner, with Hindustan Times on board as media partner.

Since its debut in 2022, the league has grown into the marquee property of the Chandigarh Golf Club. From 20 teams and 360 golfers in its first edition, it has expanded steadily, and demand continues to rise: more than 500 club golfers registered for the auction this year. The league has encouraged members to play more competitive golf, introduced newer golfers to team match play and strengthened the sense of community at the club.

The revamped format retains match play but now rewards consistency, with every match scored on Stableford. In singles, the player with the better Stableford score on a hole wins it, and the hole is halved if neither player scores a point. In pairs, the combined Stableford score of both partners on a hole is matched against that of their opponents; if none of the four players scores a point, the pair with the lowest gross score wins the hole.

Teams will continue to name two singles players and five pairs, in random order, for every match, and will face opponents who do the same. A handicap allowance of 90% applies to all players, with maximum starting handicaps capped at 18 for gentlemen and 24 for ladies.
