Mohali, January 15th, 2026: North India’s first industry-led fashion school, the Institute of Fashion & Communication Technology (IFCT), hosted Bright Beginnings 2026 - a vibrant art and craft exhibition curated and created by its students and faculty members.
The exhibition was held at IFCT premises in Kharar, District Mohali and it was a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, innovation, and design thinking, bringing together a rich showcase of artworks including mixed-media compositions, textile art, handcrafted décor, illustrations, sculptures, installations, and experimental design pieces.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Dr Neha Miglani, Founder & Director, IFCT, said “Bright Beginnings is not just an exhibition, it is a celebration of hard work, discipline, imagination and mentorship. I am extremely proud of our faculty members for their dedication and commitment, and of our students for producing such outstanding work.”

The works displayed reflect months of rigorous academic training, studio practice, and creative exploration, making Bright Beginnings 2026 a true reflection of IFCT’s experiential learning model.

Students displayed their design process work, crochet models, embroidered paintings, hand paintings in water and oil colours, colourful ‘diyas’ and decorative items, hand-painted dupattas, and beautifully hand-painted bags.

Student participation remains at the heart of the exhibition. Sharing her experience, Nimrat, BSc Fashion Design 2nd Year student, said “’Bright Beginnings’ is a wonderful platform for students to showcase the hard work of the entire year. It brings together all the creative projects and exam submissions into one powerful exhibition that gives us confidence and real exposure as designers.”
