Addressing farmers, Pilot Neeraj Sehrawat said, “The Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025 is not merely an employment scheme; it is a nation-building instrument. By linking guaranteed work with productive assets, water security, and rural infrastructure, this Act strengthens agriculture, stabilises incomes, and empowers villages. Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister and the committed governance of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini ji, Haryana’s farmers are well-positioned to lead India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047.”
Sumit Kaushik, Founder, ShivaPriya Farms Pvt. Ltd., a Haryana-based agri enterprise, welcomed the focus on integrated rural development and farmers’ welfare. He stated,
“The Government of Haryana has consistently demonstrated a progressive and practical approach towards farmer welfare. The VB-G RAM G Act strengthens the rural ecosystem by ensuring labour availability, improving water and market infrastructure, and promoting climate-resilient agriculture. For enterprises and farmers alike, this creates confidence, stability, and long-term growth opportunities.”
During the interaction, Pilot Sehrawat underlined that Haryana’s farmers are progressively advancing under the astute and farmer-centric leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini, with sustained policy focus on irrigation, market access, rural infrastructure, and income resilience. He noted that the VB-G RAM G Act complements Haryana’s development trajectory by aligning rural employment with productive asset creation and long-term agricultural sustainability.
The VB-G RAM G Act, 2025 represents a comprehensive statutory overhaul of MGNREGA, fully aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The Act strengthens the rural economy by linking employment generation with durable asset creation, prioritising water-related works to support agriculture and groundwater recharge and investing in core rural infrastructure such as roads and connectivity to improve market access. Livelihood infrastructure including storage facilities, rural markets, and production assets enables income diversification, while climate resilience is enhanced through focused interventions in water harvesting, flood drainage, and soil conservation.
The Act establishes a robust institutional framework across national, State, district, block, and village levels, equipping the Central Government with clear enforcement powers to protect public funds and ensure compliance. Provisions enabling investigations, suspension of fund releases in cases of serious irregularities, and corrective action strengthen accountability. A comprehensive transparency framework, supported by AI-enabled analytics, biometric authentication, GPS and mobile-based monitoring, real-time MIS dashboards, weekly public disclosures, and mandatory social audits, reinforces public trust and community participation.
The interaction concluded with farmers expressing keen interest in the Act’s provisions and its potential to strengthen livelihoods, agriculture, and rural resilience. The VB-G RAM G Act, 2025, by embedding strong digital governance, institutional accountability, and development-oriented employment, repositions rural employment as a strategic instrument for sustainable growth, fully aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
