Chandigarh, July 13, 2024: Sanjay Tandon, BJP's National Executive Member and Deputy In-charge of Himachal Pradesh, paid obeisance at Iskcon Temple Sector 36, Chandigarh, today and sought the divine blessings of Lord Krishna as part of the traditional rituals preceding of the Jagannath Rath Yatra.Sanjay Tandon participated in the auspicious Aarti ceremony conducted at the Iskcon Temple, where prayers were offered for peace, prosperity, and harmony in society. Reflecting on the occasion, he said, "The Jagannath Rath Yatra is not merely a religious event but a celebration of cultural heritage and unity. It is a privilege to be here and partake in these timeless traditions that bind our community together."
The Rath Yatra, with chariots carrying the deities amidst chants and fervent devotion, passed through various parts of the city, drawing thousands of devotees. The procession culminated back at the Iskcon Temple late in the evening, symbolically completing its journey.
Former Mayor Ravikant Sharma, District President Rajinder Joshi, Mandal President Deepak Mahajan, former Mandal President Gulshan Girdhar, Sanjay Aggarwal, and others joined in the festivities with enthusiasm and reverence.
