Chandigarh Police has successfully to busted a gang of AC thieves

Chandigarh,23,March:Chandigarh Police has successfully to  busted a gang of AC thieves. Since the incident of theft the  Outdoor Units are increasing, a team on the directions  of ASP/South and  supervision of SHO -34 a team headed by  I/C  Police Post Burail was constituted.

This team has arrested three accused namely Sunny Kapoor age 36 (married) S/o Sat Pal Kapoor R/o HNo 1470 Village Hallomajra Chandigarh. Tarshni @ Ajay age 22 years S/o Kuppan   R/o H No 2381 Phase 2 Ram  Darbar Chandigarh and Aashif age 26 years Mohd Salim H No 674/2, Echo Green-2 GBP Dera Bassi Mohali (Punjab). These accused persons were involved in the theft of Outdoor Units of Split ACs in different area of Chandigarh. 7 outdoor units have been recovered from their possession so far and more recovery is expected. Two accused persons namely Sunny Kapoor and Tarshni who were arrested on 22.3.22 are sent to Judicial  custody and third one Aashif  remanded in police custody for 1 day. All the three are AC mechanics and they used to steal AC units during  winter seasons and sale the compressor or complete outdoor units in the summer seasons.  Their previous involvement in the crime, if any is being verified.
